Summer 2026 Water Quality Presentation Series
Cook County Soil and Water Conservation District will partner with Chik-Wauk Museum & Nature Center to present three programs exploring the connection between forests, shorelines, and clean water in the Rainy River Headwaters.
The wonders of Watersheds – A children’s program with storytelling, games, and outdoor activities about protecting drinking water. A one-hour program for children of all ages, featuring storytelling, games, and outdoor activities. All ages are welcome.
More presentations will be taking place throughout the summer from the Cook County Soil & Water Conservation District.
The Power of Native Plants — Outdoor demonstration and shoreline tour highlighting native plants and restoration practices.
Monday, August 24 | 11 AM–12 PM
Woods and Water — Guided forest walk exploring forest health, native species, and their connection to water quality.
All ages welcome.
