Gerald Brown History of Windigo Point, Seagull Lake

October 1, 2022 @ 2:00 pm - 3:00 pm

Both pictures are courtesy of Nancy Dalbec.

Gerald was born in 1941 in Duluth, MN. His parents were Harry and Genevieve Brown who purchased Windigo Point from the estate of Jim Dunn in 1947. Windigo Point was located on Seagull Lake as an operation of housekeeping cabins.

Many neighbors that Gerald remembers on Seagull Lake were the Tibbett, Mayo, Carlson, Blankenburg, and Blomberg, families. Fun activities involved water sports on homemade boards; fishing; camping and traveling to other lakes in the area.

All presentations are family-friendly and free to the public. Donations are always appreciated.Take your time driving up the Gunflint Trail, and enjoy the scenery!
